Le Beauty Diaries: Korean Makeup Mini Haul

Bonjour Darlings!

My blog has been on hiatus for a couple of good weeks but now I'm back with my Korean Makeup Mini Haul. I'm really excited to share these 2 products with you since I've been waiting to get my hands on these Korean makeup goodies.

Etude House CC Cream & Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream

I was really happy when I got these two in the mail because I've been searching high and low for the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream for the longest of time and that's why I was so elated when I bumped into an FB online shop that sells authentic Korean Makeup goodies which is Kkochi Pida. Charms, the lovely owner of the online shop, sells bona fide Korean Makeup and Skin Care Products at a fraction of the cost compared to the mall prices. Its quite like heaven if you are into Korean Makeup goodies like I do. They have pre-order and on-hand items and shipping was fast too. So I suggest you check out her shop if you're in a scour for some Korean brands.

Ok, back to my mini haul. I got the Etude House CC Cream in Silky (Php 585) and the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream in Shade 01 (Php 585). Amazing prices right? I just love these 2 products and I've already road tested the CC Cream last Saturday and I will let you know my thoughts on my following review post.

Til then, coucou!

Le Beauty Diaries: Lusting over the new NYX Eye Shadow Palettes

I know for one that we, pinays, like NYX Cosmetics since they have adorable colors, affordable and the products really deliver and so you'll be delighted to hear that to kick off 2013, NYX Cosmetics launched their new line of eye palettes that is totally drool-worthy. Hurray! I, myself, was drooling over the gorgeous, decadent colors. They have three new palettes to fall in love with namely Love In Rio, Love In Paris and Love In Florence.

The Love In Rio ($6) is a 3 eye shadow palette that are a mix of natural and pulsating colors. It is available in 22 color selections. My personal favorites of the selection are:

No Tan Line Allowed - Shimmery taupe, nude, matte black

Segredos De Giselle - Shimmery peach, beige and bronze

Sway With Lola - Soft pink, shimmery light brown, baby blue

The Love In Paris ($10) on the other hand is a 9 eye shadow palette that is said to complement all eye colors and fashion ensembles. It is available in 12 color selections. This palette has got to be my favorite out of the 3 palettes. The colors are just heavenly and it just reminds me of the Parisian lifestyle. My faves among the 12 color selections are:

Pardon My French - Shimmery beiges, golds, browns and greens

Let Them Eat Cake - Shimmery and matte pinks, browns and beiges

Je Ne Sais Quoi - Shimmer and matte browns, cream, silver and plum

Lastly, the Love In Florence ($8) is a lush 5 eye shadow palette in rich hues and said to cater to all eye colors and looks. Oh bella! It is available in 10 different complementary collections. This palette is also love. You can easily turn your day make-up to night in an instant. My faves of the selection are:

Prima Donna - Shimmery and matte champagne, purples and black

Gelato For Two - Shimmery and matte grey, peach and plums

La Dolce Vita - Shimmery and matte silver, blues and white

All the compacts comes with a nifty dual ended applicator for on-the-go applications and I just love the ribbon detail on the front.

Now, I don't have any of these yet hence the title, 'lusting over' but I know that they're just going to be amazing and I can't wait to have them once sold here. If you are those girls who just can't wait to get your hands on these lovely palettes, you can head down to nyxcosmetics.com to purchase or Ulta. So what are you waiting for?

Le Beauty Diaries: Pinkies Collection Eyebrow Cake

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Besides your hairstyle, your eyebrows frame your face and that's why you should always groom your brows beautifully. I've always like doing my eyebrows. I think whenever you have good eyebrows,  your look is more put together and polished.

I'm an eyebrow pencil kinda girl since its much easier to use but I'm also getting the hang of using an eyebrow cake lately. Now, I've talked about how great Pinkies Collection brand is and how I loved their BB Cream Foundation. Well, the next thing that I love besides their BB Cream Foundation is their Eyebrow Cake which is also a good buy for only Php 169. For that affordable price, you get 2 shades already and mine was EBC-03 which is half blonde, half brunette.

Pinkies Collection Eyebrow Cake Php 169

Like I said, Pinkies Collection is a great brand so this time, I wasn't surprised that the cake is highly pigminted, the shade suits me and it stays for hours.

I like using the brunette shade on the center to the tip of my brows then the blonde shade in the front to center of my brows. It blends perfectly. Amazing product!

Le Beauty Diaries: Pinkies Collection BB Cream Foundation

I am a fan of BB Creams. I've been using my Fairydrops BB Cream for almost 3 months now and I so looove it but being the hauler that I am, I always like to try out new things and Pinkies Collection Makeup and its cute pink packaging didn't escape my sight.

Pinkies Collection used to be known as Pinkie Swear Cosmetics but since they have the same name of a California based makeup brand, they changed their name and logo as well. Pinkies Collection is a sister company of James Cooper Makeup targeted for a younger market. Hence, the adorable pink packaging and its cheaper price. The collection is also made in France.

The brand houses different cosmetics from cream foundation to loose mineral powder to lipsticks but their BB Cream Foundation (30ml) is the most talked about item from their collection.

Pinkies Collection BB Cream Foundation Php 299

They only have 2 shades for their BB Cream Foundation and mine was BBCF-01 which is the lighter shade of the two.

To be honest, I was not expecting much from this BB Cream Foundation since it was only Php 299 but boy, I was wrong. The coverage surprised me. It has a great coverage. It covered my acne spots, redness and even the scar on my forehead pretty well and it doesn't feel that heavy. The consistency is quite thicker than the usual BB Creams and the shade was not grayish or whitish at all. It was definitely a bang for the buck kinda buy and would absolutely purchase this again.

Not blended

Blended

The only thing is that they claim it to be a BB Cream when it doesn't say in the packaging that it has any skin benefits at all. Its actually more of a foundation than a BB Cream. So if you're looking for an spf or a whitening effect then this is not what you're looking for but still, I love it for the amazing coverage and shade alone.

Le Beauty Diaries: Snoe Shoo-Zit Acne Fading Gel

Snoe Shoo-Zit Acne Fading Gel Php 399

Whenever I think of Snoe Beauty, I always think of true local ingenuity.  Pure beauty. Pure goodness. Pure love. I really like the fact the Snoe Beauty is homegrown and yet it has that international charm to it. Its the kind of company that we, Pinays, should be proud of. I know I am.

So, I'm an expecting mum. Already on my 21 weeks. Hormonal acne can be a total b*tch. Well, good thing there is Snoe Shoo-Zit Acne Fading Gel to the rescue. Not only it is all-natural. Its also affordable and it works! My cystic acne is less swollen and red by the 2nd and 3rd day. Amazing! Plus the bottle is pretty huge (50ml) for the price.

Its my first time using Snoe Beauty products and I simply love it. Packaging is really chic and cute too!

In case you're wondering, it contains:

Crown Wood Fern ~ a traditional herbal medicine from Korea that inhibits acne bacteria. It will stop inflammation and also acts as an anti-oxidant.

PUREWHITE  ~ a natural whitening and brightening agent. Studies show that it is more effective than arbutin in lightening spots.

Congratulations to Snoe Beauty for making it global! It will soon be available at Urban Outfitters in the US and soon, Japan. Hurray!
